The Type A Sales Tax has a proven track record. It has incentivized companies to come here, to expand their business here, helped train our residents for jobs that are here right now, and helped small businesses grow. There are 216 cities in Texas that currently have a Type A sales tax. Corpus Christi competes against all of these for various projects. This tax is a competitive advantage in attracting and keeping companies in the City.
