New Library Card Options
By Library Staff
Beginning Monday, June 2, the Corpus Christi Public Libraries will introduce two new library card options tailored for patrons under 18.
In total, there will be three separate options:
- The current youth card that allows minors to borrow material from any area of the library
- The juvenile card that limits borrowing privileges to the juvenile collection only
- The teen card limits borrowing to the juvenile and teen collections only.
These additional card options were introduced in response to community member requests. To prevent access to young adult and adult material for juvenile and teen cards, eBooks and eAudiobooks via CloudLibrary will be restricted, as the library cannot customize access for individual users using this service.
