Summer 2026 Junior Gulf Beach Lifeguard Camps

The Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce the Summer 2026 Junior Gulf Beach Lifeguard Camps. Designed for aspiring lifeguards aged 10 to 15, these camps provide essential training and skill development. The camps will be held at a city pool (TBA) and at the Corpus Christi Beach Rescue Office, 8185 Highway 361. The registration fee is $90 per person, per camp. Please refer to the flyer below for additional details.

TWO CAMPS: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • June 22–26
  • July 13–17

REQUIREMENTS:

Participants must successfully complete a skills assessment, including a 50-meter swim and 1 minute of treading water, to be eligible for the camp.

ONLINE REGISTRATION:

Open from May 1 to July 1. Space is limited to 15 students, so early registration is encouraged.

Bay Beaches

Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation maintains two bayfront beaches set along Corpus Christi Bay. Both North Beach and McGee Beach offer natural beauty with close proximity to the city's downtown, marina, and local attractions.

Gulf Beaches

Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation partners with Nueces County and the State of Texas to manage Gulf Beaches. Mustang Island State Park, North Packery BeachWhitecap Beach, and Padre Balli Park offer endless recreational opportunities for visitors and locals. Swim in the warm waters, build a stunning sandcastle, or simply relax with your toes in the sun-kissed sand and breathe in the salty fresh air—ah!

Sunrise Beach and Campgrounds

Sunrise Beach Campground and RV Park is located in San Patricio County on Lake Corpus Christi. It is owned and operated by Corpus Christi Water. From tent sites to full RV hookups there's a place for adventure for everyone.

2026 Beach Parking Permit

Beach Parking Permits

The permit is only $12 and is good for a full year, until December 31. Buying the permit not only ensures that you do not receive a citation, it also supports clean and safe beaches.
