    At today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and the Council approved several appointments to board positions.

  • City to Open Overnight Cold Weather Refuge Center

    The National Weather Service predicts cold temperatures will impact the area Friday night and Saturday. A Freeze Warning is in effect from 3:00 a.m. until  9:00 a.m. Saturday for the inland areas, with a Freeze Watch in effect for the coastal areas. Lows are expected to drop to 25-32 degrees.

  • Strong Cold Front to Move into South Texas Region

     The National Weather Service predicts warm conditions Saturday and Sunday before a cold front moves into the region, bringing cooler temperatures. Low temperatures could drop to near freezing through Thursday night.
