  • City of Corpus Christi Hosts Hurricane Evacuation Exercise

    Representatives from the City of Corpus Christi, Texas Division of Emergency Management and local partner agencies will participate in an emergency evacuation training exercise. The drill will focus on applying emergency management training and procedures during simulated disaster scenarios, including hurricanes.

  • City to Participate in Statewide Emergency Alert System Drill on April 2

    The City of Corpus Christi will participate in a statewide drill of public warning systems on Thursday, April 2, in coordination with the Texas Division of Emergency Management. 

  • Hazmat Emergency Response Drill at City Facility

    The O.N. Stevens Water Treatment Plant, located at 13101 Leopard Street, will be conducting a hazmat drill on Friday, March 20. First responders will participate in the simulated incident, which will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

About Us

The Office of Emergency Management provides information and guidance to the public during an emergency. During an emergency, the Office operates the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) — a central office which allows for face-to-face coordination among personnel who must make emergency decisions. As a division of the Fire Department, the Office works year-round planning for different emergencies scenarios, and providing the public with resources to help the community Prepare, Respond and Recover from any emergency event.
