  • City Replacing Crosswalk at North Shoreline Boulevard

    The Corpus Christi Public Works Department will temporarily close portions of North Shoreline Boulevard to replace a decorative crosswalk to comply with updated state mandates starting on Tuesday, January 20.

  • Section of Castenon Street Closed for Paving Work

    Beginning Monday, January 19, a section of Castenon Street from Trojan Drive to Delgado Street will close as roadway reconstruction begins.In the first phase, the roadway will close from the northern Moody High School driveway on Castenon Street to Delgado Street.

  • Traffic Switch Begins at Everhart Road and South Padre Island Drive Intersection

    Now in place, the third phase of road closures at Everhart Road and SPID includes:

    · No right turns from SPID Eastbound Frontage Road to Southbound Everhart Road.

    · No left turns from SPID Westbound Frontage Road to Everhart Road.

    · Median closures and lane adjustments

  • Washington Coles Park Road Closures to Begin January 15

    Construction upgrades at Washington Coles Park are currently underway. They will necessitate temporary road closures in the area to ensure the safety of all residents, commuters, and construction workers.

  • Work to Close Lane on Yorktown Boulevard near Sun Valley Drive

    Ongoing work will require a lane closure on Yorktown Boulevard near Sun Valley Drive. Beginning Wednesday, January 14, crews will close the outside northbound lane. The closure is expected to last through Monday, January 26.

Jeff Edmonds joined the City of Corpus Christi as the Director of the Engineering Services in 2015. Under his leadership, the Engineering Services Team has successfully delivered over $2 billion in completed construction projects.

Jeff has spent his 35-plus year career helping public entities successfully implement infrastructure projects. His prior work experience includes over a decade of service with two local governments in North Carolina as a City Engineer and Public Works Director. Prior to joining the City of Corpus Christi, Jeff was with URS Corporation (now AECOM), then the #1 ranked engineering consulting firm, for 14 years. Edmonds also has prior work experience with an ENR Top 10 general construction contractor and an international contract utility operator.

Edmonds’ educational background includes bachelor's and master’s degrees in civil engineering from North Carolina State University and an MBA from UNC Charlotte. He has been a registered professional engineer for over 30 years and is also a PMI Certified Risk Management Professional.

We also inspect public infrastructure in new private developments.
