Water Line Work to Close Section of O’Day Parkway

Beginning Tuesday, September 29, ongoing construction for the reclaimed water project will close a section of O’Day Parkway between Weber Road and Shadow Wood Drive. This closure will be in effect through Monday, October 26. One-way westbound traffic will be allowed in this section.

Subsequent sections will be closed as work continues in the area. Neighboring residents and businesses have been notified of this construction, and access will remain open during construction. 

This closure will allow crews to safely install a 36-inch pipeline as part of the creation of a pipeline from the City’s Oso Water Reclamation Plant to its Greenwood Water Reclamation Plant. This water is intended for use by Valero, which will build its own infrastructure to use it, reducing demand on potable water reserves.

This strategic project is a significant step towards enhancing the city's water sustainability and infrastructure.

Safety remains a top priority, and motorists traveling through this area must follow the posted detour signs to navigate the construction zone. Detours will be clearly marked to ensure minimal disruption and maintain traffic flow.
