2026 City Memorial Day Weekend Schedule

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Most City of Corpus Christi offices, including City Hall, Animal Care Adoption Services, Development Services, Municipal Court, Public Libraries, and Public Health District services, will be closed on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2026.  


Solid Waste Operations: 
•    Garbage and recycling will be collected on Memorial Day 
•    The J.C. Elliott Transfer Station and Collection Center will be OPEN during regular hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., on Memorial Day
•    The Cefe Valenzuela Landfill will be OPEN during regular hours, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., on Memorial Day


Animal Care Services:
•    Open Saturday, May 23, with normal operations from 12:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
•    Closed (normal operational day of closure) Sunday, May 24 
•    Adoption Services Closed Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day; however, Animal Care Officers will be on duty for calls for service. 
•    For urgent animal concerns, please call 361-886-2600  

Parks and Recreation Department Facilities:

Tennis Centers: 
•    H-E-B Tennis Center – Open Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Open Monday, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.    
•    Al Kruse Tennis Center – Open Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Open Monday, 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.    

 
Golf Courses: 
•    Oso Golf Course – Open Saturday, Sunday, Monday, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. 
•    Lozano Golf Center – Open Saturday, Sunday, Monday, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

City Utility Billing Office


The City Utility Billing Office will be closed on Monday, May 25, for Memorial Day.  Customers can make a payment online by visiting the City’s Online Payment Portal at www.corpuschristitx.gov.  Customers can also make payments via the City’s interactive phone payment system at 361-885-0751.  The City Utility Billing Office will be open on Tuesday, May 28, and resume daily operations. 

 

City Call Center


The City of Corpus Christi’s 311 Call Center will be closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day. Residents can still use the MYCC311 app to submit a city service request. 
The 311 Call Center will resume operations at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26.
For emergencies related to wastewater back-up or overflow, a gas leak or gas odor, a water main break, or street flooding, residents can still call 311.  The call will be routed to a 24-hour dispatcher who will address emergency calls only.
