City Statement: Statement from the City Secretary Regarding Action Taken During Special City Council Meeting

During a Special City Council Meeting held today, the Corpus Christi City Council voted to reprimand Mayor Paulette Guajardo and suspended her from office for 30 days.

As outlined in Article II, Section 5 of the Corpus Christi City Charter, District 4 Councilmember and Mayor Pro Tem Kaylynn Paxson will assume the responsibilities of the Mayor.

The City of Corpus Christi remains fully dedicated to serving its residents, and all essential municipal services, emergency operations, and daily city business will continue without interruption.
