City Transitions Weekly Water Briefings to As-Needed Schedule

Stage 3 water restrictions remain in effect

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Due to the addition of new water supply projects and recent beneficial rainfall, the City of Corpus Christi will pause our scheduled weekly Media Briefings about the region’s water supply. Instead, the City will transition its weekly Water Media Briefings to an as-needed basis, effective this week.

While the improvement allows for less frequent Media Briefings, city officials emphasize that conservation remains critical. Corpus Christi remains under Stage 3 water restrictions, and residents must continue to conserve water.

Current Stage 3 Water Restrictions & Requirements:

  • No lawn watering is allowed at any time.
  • Foundation watering is allowed only every other week on designated watering days. Drip irrigation, a soaker hose, a small bucket, or a handheld hose equipped with a shut-off nozzle are permitted.
  • Hand-watering of trees, shrubs, vegetable gardens, flower beds, and potted plants is permitted on any day. A handheld hose, bucket, or watering can must be used.
  • Swimming pools may be topped off and maintained, but must be covered when not in use to prevent evaporation.
  • Washing cars, motorbikes, boats, or trailers is allowed on any day, provided a bucket or a handheld hose with an automatic shut-off nozzle is used.
