Corpus Christi Launches Community Survey to Inform Fiscal Year 2027 City Budget
The City of Corpus Christi is calling for public input as it begins developing the Fiscal Year 2027 Budget by launching a community-wide survey.
The City is currently establishing its fiscal priorities for the upcoming year, and residents’ participation is essential. As the City anticipates a budgetary shortfall, where projected service costs exceed available revenue, it is vital to understand residents’ priorities to ensure a balanced and responsible budget. The survey asks participants to rank and prioritize a wide range of city services, including:
· Public Safety: Police, Fire, and Emergency Medical Services.
· Neighborhood Quality: Code enforcement (trash/overgrown yards), nuisance properties, and garbage/recycling.
· City Life: Parks, libraries, pools, recreation centers, and senior centers.
· Infrastructure: Residential street maintenance and parking enforcement.
· Growth: Health services and economic development (bringing in new businesses and housing).
The survey is designed to be quick and easy to understand. It is available in both English and Spanish.
