Corpus Christi Water Continues Repair Efforts on Mary Rhodes Pipeline

Corpus Christi, TX – Corpus Christi Water (CCW) continues repair work on the Mary Rhodes Pipeline (MRP).

Crews have identified the leak location on the 64-inch diameter pipeline. Trench boxes and excavation shoring are being installed to ensure safe access for workers and crews. Since a private gas distribution line is nearby, CCW has coordinated with the gas line owner, who has approved the required safety measures and shoring.

At the same time, CCW crews are mobilizing repair equipment and backfill material to ensure the work proceeds efficiently.

While the MRP remains offline, CCW is coordinating closely with regional customers and water partners to manage water demand and minimize impacts to the regional water supply.

To meet system demands, CCW has increased production from the Nueces Groundwater Wells and from releases at Wesley Seale Dam to O.N. Stevens Water Treatment Plant.

Residents along the Nueces River may notice increased flows and higher river levels due to these releases.
