Corpus Christi Water Provides Update on Level 1 Water Emergency Projections

Corpus Christi, TX – Corpus Christi Water (CCW) provided the City Council with an update today on the projected date of a Level 1 Water Emergency, revised from December 2026 to September 2027.

The projected date of a Level 1 Water Emergency is when the water supply is 180 days away from meeting demand. The primary factors that have contributed to the improved outlook is the production from the Nueces Groundwater Program and recent beneficial rain in the watershed.

CCW will continue to monitor conditions and provide monthly updates to the water data dashboard.

“CCW remains committed to diversifying the water supply portfolio to better serve all of our customers,” said Nicholas Winkelmann, CCW Chief Operating Officer.
