Council Candidate Packets are Now Available
Filing Period is July 20 through August 17
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX—City Council Candidate packets for the 2026 General Election can now be picked up in person from the City Secretary’s office or viewed online.
Candidates interested in running for City Council will find forms, instruction guides, calendars, deadlines, and campaign resources in the packet. The application and filing fee can be submitted to the City Secretary’s Office beginning July 20 at 8:00 a.m. and August 17 at 5:00 p.m.
The City Secretary’s office would like to remind candidates to file a Form CTA–Appointment of Campaign Treasurer by a Candidate with the City Secretary’s Office before filing an application for a place on the ballot per Texas Election Code § 252.001.

The City Secretary’s Office is located on the first floor of City Hall at 1201 Leopard Street and is open Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The filing fee is $100, payable in cash or money order; personal or business checks are not accepted.
