Crews Advance Mary Rhodes Pipeline Repair Toward Testing

Corpus Christi, TX – Contracted crews have installed a replacement section of the Mary Rhodes Pipeline (MRP) and completed the welded connections this morning.

Crews will begin filling the repaired section of the pipeline with water to conduct hydrostatic testing. This test will verify the integrity of the newly installed section and its connections before proceeding with the remaining steps to restore the pipeline to full service.

CCW and contracted crews continue working around the clock to complete the repair safely. The MRP will remain offline while testing and remaining restoration activities are completed. If work continues as planned, the MRP is expected to return to service on Friday, September 25.

The City will continue to provide updates as work nears completion and the MRP resumes service.
