Litter Critter Event Scheduled for W.B. Ray High School

Join us on June 13 for an Event Featuring Paper Shredding and Cardboard Recycling

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — Paper shredding services for Corpus Christi residents return on Saturday, June 13, coinciding with a Litter Critter event organized by Solid Waste Services (SWS).

The Litter Critter community cleanup will be held on Saturday, June 13, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at W.B. Ray High School, 1002 Texan Trail, in the parking lot located next to the Performing Arts Center.

SWS, in partnership with RBFCU and Shred-IT, will offer paper shredding from 9:00 a.m. to noon, or until the shred container trucks reach full capacity. Bring your confidential documents, including bank statements, payroll records, legal papers, and credit card statements.

Cardboard recycling will also be available. Please bring clean, empty, flattened cardboard boxes, free of Styrofoam or packing materials.

The Litter Critter initiative provides residents with a convenient way to dispose of unwanted items outside scheduled pickup dates.

Residents should prepare to offload their items; commercial hauling is not permitted.

Items accepted include:

•       Heavy brush

•       Bulky items

•       Household trash

•       Up to 4 standard tires

•       Metal items and household appliances

Items NOT accepted include:

•       Hazardous waste

•       Asbestos, antifreeze, brake and transmission fluid, batteries, cleaning solvents

•       Concrete
