Mayor’s Committee on Veteran Affairs and Local Veteran Organizations host Memorial Day Ceremony at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Mayor’s Committee on Veteran Affairs in collaboration with Nueces County Veterans and Social Service Office will host a Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 25, at 10:00 a.m. at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 IH 37 Access Road. The ceremony was relocated from Sherrill Veterans Memorial Park.  

The Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority (CCRTA) will provide complimentary park-and-ride shuttle service to the cemetery from 8:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m. Guests are asked to park at the Texas Department of Public Safety parking lot, located at 3506 Twin River Boulevard. Parking at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery will be extremely limited.

The ceremony includes a parade of colors, representatives from Disabled American Veterans and Auxilary 150, Veterans Band of Corpus Christi, Texas Veterans Land Board, local veterans’ organizations and remarks from dignitaries. The ceremony is intended to remember those who died in active military service.
