CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The City of Corpus Christi is gearing up for the 49th Annual Mayor’s Big Bang Fourth of July Firework Show, generously sponsored by H-E-B. The evening festivities will begin on Saturday, July 4, at 9:30 p.m. along the scenic bayfront.

“In a city shaped by military service, Independence Day stands as a solemn reminder of the courage and sacrifice that safeguard our freedoms,” said Mayor Paulette Guajardo. “As our nation begins commemorating America’s 250th birthday, the Mayor’s Big Bang Celebration honors the service members who have defended our country and celebrates the unity, patriotism, and community spirit that define Corpus Christi.”

During the press conference, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and event partners will provide an overview of the day’s festivities, including key details and safety information.

The Mayor’s Fourth of July Big Bang Celebration will begin with a patriotic ceremony honoring local veterans at 10:00 a.m. at Sherrill Veterans Memorial Park. Community members are encouraged to attend this meaningful tribute, which serves as a powerful reminder of the courage and sacrifice shown by those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Following the ceremony, the celebration continues along the bayfront with family-friendly activities and a spectacular fireworks display.

The fireworks show is free and open to the public, made possible by the generous support of our sponsors. We also extend our deepest appreciation to the volunteers whose dedication brings this cherished community tradition to life.
