Lavaca-Navidad River Authority & Corpus Christi Water to Perform Scheduled Maintenance and Upgrades to Mary Rhodes Pipeline Pump Stations
On Tuesday, September 29, the Lavaca-Navidad River Authority (LNRA), Corpus Christi Water (CCW), and their contractors will begin scheduled maintenance and upgrades to the Mary Rhodes Pipeline (MRP) pump stations.
The work includes scheduled maintenance at the Lake Texana Pump Station in Edna, Texas. At the Woodsboro and Bloomington Pump Stations, crews will install permanent backup pumps and variable frequency drives to improve efficiency and upgrade electrical systems and valve actuators.
To ensure crews can complete the work safely, pumping through the MRP will be temporarily reduced as follows:
• September 29 and September 30 - MRP will be offline (0 MGD)
• October 1 to October 22 - Schedule 3 Operations (55 MGD)
• October 22 to November 16 - Schedule 2b Operations (43 MGD)
• November 16 - Return to Schedule 4 Operations (72 MGD)
During this period, CCW will rely primarily on water supplies from the Western Reservoirs and supplement with the Nueces Groundwater Program.
