Repairs Successful: Water from Mary Rhodes Pipeline Arriving at O.N. Stevens

Corpus Christi, TX – Repair work is on track to be completed ahead of schedule at the Mary Rhodes Pipeline (MRP) project site, with a portion of the exterior cement work on the repaired pipe joints completed and the excavation partially backfilled.

Over the next few hours, all exterior cement work on the pipe joints where welding was performed will be completed. Additional backfill will then be placed to fully embed the pipe before pumping operations reach full capacity.

The MRP is currently delivering 23 million gallons per day (MGD) to O.N. Stevens Treatment Plant and regional customers.

CCW and the Lavaca-Navidad River Authority (LNRA) will continue monitoring the pipeline while exterior work is completed. The pipeline is scheduled to gradually return to Schedule 4 pumping operations, the maximum flow, late Friday evening.
