Water Line Work on Holly Road near Rodd Field to Close Roadway Section

Beginning Thursday, September 3, a section of Holly Road between Toben Drive and Rodd Field Road will be closed while construction continues on a water pipeline for reclaimed water. The street closures will continue through Friday, October 16.

Neighboring residents and businesses have been notified of this activity, and access will remain open during construction.

The closures are part of ongoing work related to the creation of a reclaimed water pipeline from the City’s Oso Water Reclamation Plant to its Greenwood Water Reclamation Plant. This water is intended for use by Valero, which will build its own infrastructure to use it, reducing demand on potable water reserves.

This strategic project is a significant step towards enhancing the city's water sustainability and infrastructure.

Safety remains a top priority, so motorists are advised to use alternative routes to avoid delays, remain aware of the work zone, and follow posted signs.

The City of Corpus Christi is committed to projects that maintain or improve streets and infrastructure for every city resident, business, and visitor.
