City Announces Extended Schedule for Splash Pads

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department announces an extended schedule for the five City-owned splash pads. They will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., starting September 19 through October 18, 2026.

This extension aims to provide families with fun and enjoyable outdoor activities while helping children stay active and cool off during the ongoing warm weather. Over the summer months of 2026, we received roughly 100,000 visitors to all city-owned splashpads.

The extended hours coincide with the CCISD intersession break, scheduled from October 9 to October 18, offering children additional recreational opportunities.

By keeping the splash pads open on weekends and aligning the schedule with school breaks, the department commits to providing accessible, safe recreational spaces for residents.

·         Cole Park, 2030 Ocean Drive        

·         Salinas Park, 1354 Airport Road

·         West Haven Park, 1718 Cliff Maus Drive

·         Bill Witt Park, 6809 Yorktown Boulevard
