Lane Closures at Leopard Street and Nueces Bay Boulevard

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX— Ongoing construction at the Corpus Christi Detention Center will require lane and sidewalk closures on Leopard Street and Nueces Bay Boulevard.

Beginning on Monday, May 11, a one-lane section of Leopard Street and Nueces Bay Boulevard will be closed. Sidewalks will also be closed, but business driveways will remain accessible during construction.

Work is expected to continue through Tuesday, May 26.

Construction crews are expanding and renovating the Corpus Christi Detention Center, and the lane closures are needed for crew safety.

A detailed map is provided below to represent the roadwork and traffic flow adjustments visually.

Safety remains a top priority, and motorists traveling through this area must follow the posted detour signs to navigate the construction zone. Detours will be clearly marked to ensure minimal disruption and maintain traffic flow.

The City of Corpus Christi is committed to projects that maintain or improve streets and infrastructure for every city resident, business, and visitor.
