UPDATE: City Announces Pools and Splash Pads Summer Schedule Conservation Efforts in Progress
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — The Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department announces the summer schedule for pools and splash pads, effective May 30 to August 9, 2026.
To provide quality of life services to the community and respond to the drought, the Parks and Recreation Department implemented water-saving measures at all pools and splash pads. These water-saving efforts involve the use of a solar shield water additive to minimize evaporation, and pool covers will be utilized as an effective measure to further reduce evaporation when not in operation. These water-saving measures are expected to save up to 95% of the water use. This far exceeds the water curtailment goals of the drought contingency plan (DCP).
In total, operating hours across all City pools and splash pads are the same operational hours as last year.
Each facility will also have designated closure dates to conduct routine maintenance to ensure the health and safety of patrons.

Greenwood Pool, 4305 Greenwood Drive, Open Wednesday to Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
H-E-B Pool, 1520 Shely Street, Open Monday & Tuesday and Friday to Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Oso Pool, 1109 Bernice Drive, Open Monday & Tuesday and Friday to Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
West Guth Pool, 9705 Up River Road, Open Wednesday to Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Bill Witt Aquatic Center, 6809 Yorktown Boulevard
Lap Pool: Lap Swim: Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and Tuesday to Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; Open Swim: Saturday to Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Open Swim: Tuesday to Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Recreational Pool: Open Tuesday to Sunday, 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Facility closed for maintenance on Mondays.
