Corpus Christi Animal Care Services (CCACS) is taking part in the BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Empty the Shelters™ - Holiday Hope waived-fee adoption event from December 1 through December 15.
A section of South Staples Street is closed for utility line repair work between Timbergate Drive and Lipes Boulevard. The closure began late Monday and is expected to continue through Tuesday, December 2.
Construction crews will be working on Norton Street near Kostoryz Road beginning Monday, December 1.
Traffic will be one-way westbound on Norton Street between Cambridge Road and Kostoryz Road. Access to businesses and residences will remain available.
In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, most City of Corpus Christi offices will be closed on Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28, 2025.
Some traffic lanes on Lipes Boulevard and Brockhampton Street are closed for street paving. The work began on Saturday, November 22.
Northbound Everhart Road between South Padre Island Drive and McArdle Road will close for concrete work on Tuesday, November 25, between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
The Herrman & Herrman Turkey Giveaway will be held on Sunday, November 23, starting at 12:00 p.m. This year, turkeys will be distributed from the Herrman & Herrman headquarters located at 1201 3rd Street in Corpus Christi. The distribution is expected to draw large crowds. Residents are asked to exercise patience and cooperation during this holiday event.
Corpus Christi Water (CCW) invites residents and community members to attend a public information session on the Evangeline Groundwater Wells project. This open discussion will provide an opportunity for attendees to learn about groundwater resources, meet with CCW staff, and share their input on this critical water supply initiative.
At today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, the Council approved a Master Services Agreement with Ardurra Group, Inc. for up to $11 million to design a major expansion of the City’s reclaimed water infrastructure. The project will improve the reliability, capacity, and efficiency of the City’s non-potable reuse system while reducing the demand on the potable water supply.
At today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, the Council authorized a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Corpus Christi Desal Partners (CCDP) to develop options for the Inner Harbor Desalination Project.
