2025 City Labor Day Schedule

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Most City of Corpus Christi offices, including City Hall, Public Libraries, Municipal Court, Development Services, and the Public Health District, will be closed on Labor Day, Monday, September 1. 

Solid Waste Operations

  • Garbage and recycling will be collected on September 1
  • Brush items will be collected on September 1  
  • The J.C. Elliott Transfer Station/Collection Center: Closed
  • Cefe Valenzuela Landfill: Open 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Animal Care Services

The Animal Care Services Department will be closed. Officers will be responding to calls for service. Residents can contact the CCPD Non-Emergency number at (361) 826-2600.

 Parks and Recreation Department Facilities

 Tennis Centers:

  • H-E-B Tennis Center:  Open, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  • Al Kruse Tennis Center: Open, 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

 Golf Courses:

  • Oso Beach Golf Course: Open, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Lozano Golf Center: Open, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • The Firefly at Lozano Golf Center, Open daily 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

 Public Pools:

  • Collier Pool, 3801 Harris Drive:
    • Open, 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. (Lap Swim); 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Lap Swim); and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Open Swim)
  • Bill Witt Aquatic Center, 6809 Yorktown Boulevard
    • Lap Pool: Open, 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Lap & Open Swim)
    • Play Pool: Closed

 Splash Pads:

  • Bill Witt Park: Open Friday to Monday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Cole Park: Open Friday to Monday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Lindale Park: Open Friday to Monday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Salinas Park: Open Friday to Monday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • West Haven Park: Open Friday to Monday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

 Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve & Learning Center:

  • Walking Trails and Playground: Open from dawn to dusk.
  • Learning Center & Restrooms: Closed

 Senior Centers:            Closed

Recreation Centers:     Closed

After-Hour Kid Power:  Closed

Gymnasiums:               Closed

 

City Utility Billing Office

The City Utility Billing Office will be closed on Monday, September 1, for Labor Day. Day.  Customers can make a payment online by visiting the City’s Online Payment Portal at www.corpuschristitx.gov.  Payments can be made at any local HEB location.  You must have your account number readily available.  The City Utility Billing Office will be open on Tuesday, September 2, and resume daily operations.

City Call Center

The City of Corpus Christi’s 311 Call Center will be closed on Monday, September 1, for Labor Day. Residents can still use the MYCC311 app to submit a city service request. Search MYCC311 in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to download the app.

The 311 Call Center will resume operations at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 2.

If you have an emergency and need to report a wastewater back-up or overflow, a gas leak or gas odor, a water main break, or street flooding, you can still call 311. A dispatcher will answer emergency calls only.
