42nd Annual National Night Out Kick-Off Celebration Moves to New Location
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — Get ready to stand together against crime! The Corpus Christi Police Department (CCPD) invites all residents to participate in the 42nd annual National Night Out (NNO) on Tuesday, October 7.
NNO is a drug and crime prevention event designed to strengthen police-community partnerships and promote awareness, safety, and unity in neighborhoods across the city.
The National Night Out Kick-Off celebration will take place on Tuesday, October 7, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. This year’s event will be held at the 7-Eleven/Stripes store parking lot at 4130 South Alameda Street.
The event will feature a brief program starting with a welcome by Lt. Kody Harrison, followed by an Invocation from Chaplain Antwine Charles, and the National Anthem. A ceremonial “lighting of the porch light” will take place shortly after 4:00 p.m., led by Chief Markle and Command Staff, to symbolize our city's commitment to safety.
The kick-off will include complimentary refreshments and giveaways provided by 7-Eleven/Stripes, as well as various community vendor booths. The community and media are invited to attend the kick-off celebration.
All citizens are strongly encouraged to celebrate National Night Out by:
