Bonner Drive Reconstruction

The City of Corpus Christi is starting street reconstruction work on Bonner Drive from Everhart Road to Flynn Parkway.

The work will completely reconstruct the existing roadway with new asphalt pavement, curbs, gutters, sidewalks and streetlight improvements. The project includes ADA-compliant curb ramps, related signage and pavement markings. Additionally, related utility and drainage improvements are included.

Work is scheduled to begin Monday, July 21. The estimated completion date is in December.

The $3.6 million project is part of voter-approved Bond 2022. Bay Ltd. is the contractor. The work will improve the roadway and traffic flow, enhancing safety for motorists and pedestrians.

A detailed map is attached to visually represent the road work and traffic flow adjustments.

Safety remains a top priority, and motorists traveling through this area must follow the posted detour signs to navigate the construction zone. Detours will be marked to ensure minimal disruption and maintain traffic flow.

The City of Corpus Christi is committed to projects that maintain or improve streets and infrastructure for every city resident, business, and visitor.
