CCW Advances Western Well Field Development with Equipment Testing on Three Additional Wells
Corpus Christi, TX – Corpus Christi Water (CCW) continues to make significant progress on the development of the City’s Western Well Field. This week, crews are conducting functional and operational testing of permanent equipment on three additional wells, marking another milestone in the project’s advancement.
To date, CCW crews have also installed 21,293 linear feet, or 4.03 miles, of 24”, 16”, and 12” diameter PVC water line required for the whole operation of the Western Well Field. The project remains on schedule and continues to meet its benchmarks toward full completion in May 2026.
“The Western Well Field is an important part of the City’s diversified water supply strategy,” said CCW Chief Operating Officer Nick Winkelmann. “The progress our crews are making each week brings us one step closer to ensuring a dependable water supply for our region.”
