City Council Receives Preview of Updated City Logo

Logo Design Features New Harbor Bridge

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX –  At today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and Council received a briefing on recent updates made to the City Logo.

The updates include the new Harbor Bridge, the Mirador, which has been updated to correct the drawing, and minor color and graphic improvements that have been made to improve legibility.

The City Logo was created in 2002 for the City's 150th Anniversary Celebration and has been used widely for over 20 years.

“Our updated City logo reflects both the rich history of Corpus Christi and the progress we continue to make as a community,” Mayor Paulette Guajardo said. ”By featuring the new Harbor Bridge and refining key elements, this refreshed design captures our city’s spirit, pride, and bright future.”

“The City logo is a unique graphic mark that visually represents a municipality's identity,” Elisa Olsen, Director of Communications, said. “It's important because it builds civic pride among residents and serves as a vital branding tool.”

In order to minimize budget impact and ensure responsible use of taxpayer dollars, City departments will be asked to exhaust supplies of existing printed materials and use the updated logo for new materials. There are no additional costs associated with launching the logo update.
