City Council Receives Update on FY27 Budget Development Timeline

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – At today’s regular scheduled City Council meeting, the Council received a presentation regarding updates to the FY27 Budget Development Timeline.

The updated FY27 Budget timeline includes improvements to the process, moving critical items like the Financial Policies and Financial Forecast earlier, and adding five Community Budget and Bond Input Sessions to engage the public before the City Council Budget Goal Setting Session. 

These improvements will encourage more robust budget development, provide additional community engagement, and enable comprehensive data collection leading into the City Council Budget Goal Setting Workshop, tentatively scheduled for May 14.

·         Present Bond 2026 Briefing to City Council – 3/31/26
