City of Corpus Christi Launches Online Survey to Gather Community Input for Fiscal Year 2026 Budget
The City of Corpus Christi announces the launch of an online community budget survey to gather input from residents and help shape the upcoming Fiscal Year 2026 Proposed Budget. Community participation and input is a crucial component of the City’s annual budget process, ensuring that the priorities and needs of Corpus Christi residents are reflected in the City’s financial planning.
With an initial projected approximate $7 million gap in revenues to expenditures, the online survey will provide an accessible platform for all residents to share their perspectives on City services, infrastructure, public safety, parks and recreation, and other key areas. This will be one of many tools used to shape the budget process.
"Hearing directly from our residents is essential as we navigate the complexities of crafting a budget that serves our entire community effectively," said City Manager Peter Zanoni. "This survey is an important method for understanding what matters most to the taxpayers of Corpus Christi. We encourage everyone to take a few minutes to share their thoughts and help us make informed decisions for the future of our city."
The City is committed to a transparent and inclusive budget development process. The input received will help identify community priorities and guide resource allocation to best meet the needs of a growing and dynamic Corpus Christi. This year's budget development follows recent discussions on the FY 2026 General Fund Forecast and City Council goal-setting workshops.
Residents can access the FY 2026 Budget Input Survey on June 2 by visiting www.cctx.info/budgetsurvey.
The survey will be open through June 15, providing ample time for community members to participate and provide input on their priorities for next year’s budget.
The City of Corpus Christi values the insights of its residents and believes that collaborative input leads to a stronger, more responsive local government.
