City Paved the Way with Road Resurfacing Progress in FY 2025

Nearly 50 Miles of Residential Streets Resurfaced Under Rapid Pavement Program

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The City of Corpus Christi made significant strides in maintaining and repairing local residential streets through its Rapid Pavement Program (RPP) in FY 2025.

Previously known as the Infrastructure Management Program (IMP), the RPP is a five-year rolling initiative designed to keep the city's roads in optimal condition.

In FY 2024, 39.4 miles were successfully resurfaced under the Rapid Pavement Program. This effort expanded even further in Fiscal Year 2025, with an impressive 45.9 miles completed, representing a 16.5 percent increase from the previous year.

In addition to the RPP, the City launched its Non-Structural Overlay Program in FY 2025. This initiative addresses the repair needs of city streets, alleys, and other essential infrastructure that have deteriorated beyond simple pothole repairs, which the RPP does not cover.

Through this program, the city was able to resurface an additional 8.1 miles of residential roads, further demonstrating its commitment to enhancing community infrastructure.
