City Statement – Inner Harbor Desalination Plant

In a recent story by KRIS 6 News, it was reported that City Manager Peter Zanoni’s recent Council proposal regarding next steps for the Inner Harbor Desalination Plant was developed at the directive of Mayor Paulette Guajardo. 

The proposal was not the result of a directive. Rather, it was developed over the last several weeks with input from all City Council Members, Corpus Christi Water leaders, and stakeholders. 

The City Manager remains focused on providing a sustainable long-term water solution for the Coastal Bend.
