Complete Closure of Everhart Road Scheduled for October 3

Closure Will Be Overnight from 2:00 to 6:00 a.m.

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX— The City of Corpus Christi announces the temporary closure of Everhart Road from Mt. Vernon Drive to Lamont Street, beginning Friday morning, October 3, at 2:00 a.m. and continuing until 6:00 a.m. This planned closure is essential to complete ongoing road and infrastructure improvements in the area.

The scheduled work involves the ongoing pouring of concrete along this section of Everhart Road. The project aims to enhance the road surface and improve drainage systems better to serve the residents and commuters of Corpus Christi.

Safety measures have been implemented to protect both workers and the public, including the use of barriers and clear signage.

This closure is scheduled to take place outside of business hours to reduce any impact on area businesses. Additionally, all neighborhood entrances will be maintained and available through easily accessible detours.

A detailed map is attached that visually represents the entire road closure and detour route.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes during the closure period; detour signs will be posted to guide traffic safely around the construction zone. The City of Corpus Christi remains committed to minimizing inconvenience and ensuring the timely completion of these improvements.
