Completion of Water Line Replacements at Nueces Bay Boulevard and Poth Lane

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX— The City of Corpus Christi is pleased to announce the successful completion of multiple portions of water line replacements at Nueces Bay Boulevard and West Broadway. The advancement of this vital infrastructure project, designed to enhance the reliability and efficiency of the city's water distribution system, marks a significant milestone for the local community.

Starting Monday, September 15, all traffic on Nueces Bay Boulevard, from Leopard to IH-37, will resume normal operations. The completion of this project means residents and commuters can once again enjoy unrestricted access to these important thoroughfares, easing travel and improving local connectivity.

West Broadway Street remains open to motorists, but flaggers will be on-site from Friday, September 12, to Wednesday, September 17, to guide vehicles as the final layer of asphalt is laid between Nueces Bay Boulevard and North Port Avenue. The pouring of this asphalt will not require lane closures and will not impede traffic.

“This project was essential for maintaining the integrity and safety of our city's infrastructure,” said Jeff Edmonds, Director of Engineering Services. “We are grateful for the community's support and are pleased to have made substantial progress in this project, which will benefit our city for years to come.”

The City of Corpus Christi remains dedicated to maintaining and improving the infrastructure that supports our vibrant community.
