Corpus Christi International Airport Hosts American Airlines “Snowball Express” Flight Honoring Families of Fallen First Responders

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Corpus Christi International Airport (CCIA) is honored to announce that it will serve as a departure point for the American Airlines “Snowball Express,” marking the first time the airport has participated in this powerful national initiative. This year, CCIA's flight is specifically dedicated to honoring the families of fallen First Responders.

American Airlines has once again joined forces with the Gary Sinise Foundation (GSF) to support the 20th year of the Snowball Express. The annual event is dedicated to honoring the families of both fallen U.S. military service members and first responders. Over the course of two weeks, the effort will transport over 2,600 family members to Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, for an all-expenses-paid experience.

On Saturday, December 13, six charter flights will transport family members of fallen First Responders from eight departure cities nationwide, including Corpus Christi. American Airlines is donating a total of 16 charter aircraft to make this journey possible, providing a supportive and memorable environment for these brave families during the holiday season.

The American Airlines Snowball Express Flight for First Responder Families will depart CCIA on Saturday, December 13, at 6:24 a.m. from Gate 5. The flight is transporting the families of fallen First Responders, connecting through Dallas Fort-Worth Airport (DFW), before continuing on to their final destination at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.
