Everhart Road Project Updates

Beginning Monday, July 7, the northbound lanes of Everhart Road between South Padre Island Drive (SPID) and Lamont Street will be closed for ongoing street reconstruction work.

Two-way traffic will shift to the southbound lanes in two phases:
• McArdle Road to Lamont Street: Closed through mid-August
• SPID to McArdle Road: Closed through October

Additional lane closures will occur at the SPID intersection.

This work is part of the Everhart Road Reconstruction Project, a $30 million investment funded by the 2020 Bond Program. The project began in 2023 and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2025.

A detailed map is attached to represent the road work and traffic flow adjustments visually.

Safety remains a top priority, and motorists traveling through this area must follow the posted detour signs to navigate the construction zone. Detours will be clearly marked to ensure minimal disruption and maintain traffic flow.

The City of Corpus Christi is committed to projects that maintain or improve streets and infrastructure for every city resident, business, and visitor.
