Find Your Perfect Companion: Free Pet Adoption Weekends at Animal Care Services
Give a Dog or Cat a Forever Home
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Corpus Christi Animal Care Service (CCACS) announces fee-waived pet adoption weekends. CCACS will offer two special weekends dedicated to finding loving homes for our beloved animals.
The City of Corpus Christi has received a $30,000 grant from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) to fund expenses related to dogs and cats that are up for adoption. This funding will cover various costs, including adoption fees, microchips, vaccinations, testing, and spay/neuter surgeries.
All pets adopted from CCACS will be microchipped, spayed or neutered, and treated with all necessary vaccinations to start your new furry friend off on the right foot.
August event dates include:
· First weekend:
Friday-Saturday, August 15-16
1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
· Second weekend:
Friday-Saturday, August 22-23
1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
With many dogs and cats waiting to meet their perfect match, these fee-waived weekends present the ideal opportunity to open your heart and home. Adopting a pet not only enriches your life with unconditional love and companionship but also helps reduce overpopulation and supports the welfare of animals in need.
“By adopting, you’re not just providing a home to a pet; you’re also making a positive impact on the community and helping create space for more animals in need,” Kathleen Chapa, Director of Animal Care Services, said.
