Islander Pavilion Temporary Closure for Lighting Improvements

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — The Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department announces the temporary closure of the Islander Pavilion at McCaughn Park, located at 402 S. Shoreline Boulevard, for lighting improvements. The closure will start Monday, August 18, and run through Wednesday, August 20, from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.

During the temporary closure, the Islander Pavilion will be open for public use from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. It is frequently utilized outside of regular hours and on weekends for basketball and various other fitness activities.

The lighting improvements involve transitioning the existing pavilion lighting to energy-efficient LED fixtures to enhance visibility and functionality.

Updates will be provided should there be any changes to the schedule or scope of work.
