Mary Rhodes Pipeline Returns to Maximum Capacity After Pump Repairs

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – On May 29, the Lavaca Navidad River Authority (LNRA) and Corpus Christi Water (CCW) detected decreased pumping pressure along the Mary Rhodes Pipeline (MRP), indicating a potential operational issue. Investigation revealed an issue with one of the pumps at LNRA’s pump station in Edna, Texas.

LNRA's pump and motor service providers repaired and reinstalled the 1,250-horsepower pump and motor over the weekend. The pipeline system flow has been returned to Schedule 4 with its maximum flow of 70 million gallons per day (MGD). Previously, the MRP operated at Schedule 3 or 55 MGD. CCW and the LNRA continue to work together to monitor the MRP and provide updates as necessary.
