CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The City of Corpus Christi and the Mayor’s Committee on Veteran Affairs will host an Armed Forces Day Commemoration Ceremony on Saturday, May 17, at 10:00 a.m. at the Ben Garza Gym, 1815 Howard Street. The ceremony has been relocated from Sherrill Veterans Memorial Park due to ongoing construction at the park.

This day is dedicated to honor the brave men and women who serve in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Space Force, and Coast Guard. This day is recognized in the United States as an opportunity to pause and reflect on the sacrifices, dedication, and strength demonstrated by military personnel who serve tirelessly to safeguard the nation's freedom and promote peace worldwide. The ceremony includes a POW/MIA Missing Man Table, a parade of colors, representatives of veterans’ organizations and remarks from dignitaries.
