CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The City of Corpus Christi and the Mayor’s Committee on Veteran Affairs will host an Iwo Jima Commemoration Ceremony on Saturday, February 21, at 10:00 a.m. at Sherrill Veterans Memorial Park, 222 South Shoreline Boulevard.

This year marks the 81st Anniversary of the Battle of Iwo Jima. The ceremony includes a POW/MIA Missing Man Table, a parade of colors, representatives of veterans’ organizations and remarks from dignitaries. The ceremony serves as a moment of reflection and gratitude to honor the commitment and sacrifices made by veterans of the Greatest Generation and the lasting impact of their contributions in history.
