Traffic Control Plan Announced for Calallen Drive at Redbird Lane
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Beginning on August 11, Calallen Drive will be reduced to one lane to accommodate construction crews working to enhance the street’s infrastructure. The project, funded through a bond initiative, includes a complete rebuild of the existing street and utilities, ensuring a safer and more efficient roadway for all users.
Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly, as this project will impact the usual traffic flow. In addition, motorists will not be permitted to turn left from Redbird Lane onto Calallen Drive. However, right turns onto Calallen Drive from Redbird Lane will still be allowed. This measure is intended to ensure the safety of both drivers and construction workers during the project.
Construction is expected to take approximately two months, and efforts are being made to minimize inconvenience to residents and commuters. The project's progress updates will be communicated regularly through the city's official channels.
Motorists should exercise caution and adhere to all posted signage and detours.
