Section of Norton Street Closed for Improvements

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX— Construction crews will be working on Norton Street near Sam Houston Elementary School beginning Monday, Oct. 27.

Access to the school and residences will remain available. City officials have been in contact with school leaders regarding this work.

Traffic will be one-way westbound on Norton Street between Ramsey Street and Cambridge Drive. Work is expected to last through December.

This work is part of ongoing water infrastructure improvements that aim to enhance efficiency and system reliability.

A detailed map is provided below to visually represent the road work and traffic flow adjustments. 

Safety remains a top priority, and motorists traveling through this area must follow the posted detour signs to navigate the construction zone. Detours will be clearly marked to ensure minimal disruption and maintain traffic flow.
