Temporary Closure of Mt. Vernon Street at Everhart Road

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Water line improvements are scheduled to continue on Mt. Vernon Street at the intersection of Everhart Road. 

The extended closure will begin on August 12 and last two days, concluding on August 14. During construction, Mt. Vernon Street will be closed from Everhart Road to Wynona Drive. The closure will facilitate the installation of a new 8-inch waterline under the intersection, a vital infrastructure improvement to enhance water service in the area.

Detours will be marked and are designed to minimize disruption while ensuring the safety of all road users. Motorists are encouraged to plan their routes accordingly and allow extra travel time.
