Temporary Closure of Yorktown Mud Bridge

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX—Residents and commuters in the Yorktown area are advised that the Yorktown Mud Bridge, from Leadership Drive to Arman Street, is currently closed due to safety concerns following the snapping of a power pole. Strong wind gusts swept through the area earlier today, causing this incident.

American Electric Power (AEP) is working on-site to repair the damaged power pole. The closure is expected to last for approximately 24 hours. However, repair efforts may be extended if adverse weather conditions persist, potentially delaying the bridge's reopening.

Public safety is our top priority, and we urge all motorists and pedestrians to seek alternative routes. Please remain patient and exercise caution while navigating the area. Updates will be provided as the situation develops, and we thank the community for their cooperation and understanding during this time.
