Texas Birth Certificates Available at City Hall

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – School registration is happening now, and Texas birth certificates can be obtained quickly at City Hall

Birth certificates can be purchased through the following methods:

• In-person at City Hall – 1201 Leopard Street – Same day pickup
• Online – Mailed to applicant’s address https://www.velocitypayment.com/client/cityofcorpuschristi/vitalrecords/index.html
• Mail-In Application: https://www.corpuschristitx.gov/media/qfcbxrc1/certified-birth-death-form.pdf

Please note that birth certificates are confidential records with restricted access. Therefore, proof of identity must be provided, and the applicant must qualify to request a birth certificate.

Proof of Identity

If no valid state ID or driver’s license is available, other acceptable documents must be provided that display the name, including at least one document containing the requestor’s signature.

Requirements:

·         $23 fee

·         Valid state ID (or acceptable identification documents)

·         Completed application

·         Hours of operation Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Long-form birth certificates are available for individuals born in Corpus Christi and can be used for passport applications, school registration, and more.

Short-form (abstract) birth certificates are available for those born in other Texas cities. They are generally accepted for school registration, driver’s license or permit applications, and employment, but they are not valid for passport applications.
