Traffic Signal Upgrades at Staples Street and McArdle Road Intersection
Upgrades Will Enhance Intersection Safety
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – A City contractor has been upgrading the traffic signals at the intersection of Staples Street and McArdle Road. The new traffic signals will become operational after testing is completed on Wednesday, September 17, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Motorists should expect daytime closures at the intersection during testing and the removal of existing overhead traffic signals.
The project includes traffic signals, curb ramps, sidewalks, high-visibility crosswalks, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) pedestrian signals and push buttons. The contractor will continue working on these improvements over the next month.
