Traffic Switch for Timbergate Drive

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - Street reconstruction work continues on Timbergate Drive between South Staples Street and Snowgoose Road, part of a voter-approved project from Bond 2022.

Beginning Wednesday, October 29, Timbergate Drive between South Staples Street and Snowgoose Road will be one-way eastbound. Driveways in the area will remain accessible.

The ongoing work is reconstructing the existing roadway with new asphalt pavement, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and a 5-foot multi-use path. The project includes ADA-compliant curb ramps, related signage, pavement markings and upgraded streetlights. Additionally, related utility and drainage improvements are included.

The 4.73 million project is scheduled for completion by July 2026.

A detailed map is attached to visually represent the road work and traffic flow adjustments.

Safety remains a top priority, and motorists traveling through this area must follow the posted detour signs to navigate the construction zone. Detours will be clearly marked to ensure minimal disruption and maintain traffic flow.

The City of Corpus Christi is committed to projects that maintain or improve streets and infrastructure for every city resident, business, and visitor.
